Detail:
Vhid: VVID00010936
Virus: Herpes simplex virus 2(HSV-2)
Host Species: Homo sapiens
ncRNA Source: Virus
ncRNA Category: miRNA
ncRNA Symbol: miR-III
Tissue: Neurons
Expression Direction of ncRNA: -
Interactor in Virus or Host: Virus
Interactor Category: Protein
Interactor Symbol: ICP0
Expression Direction of Interactor: Downregulation
Validated Method: Real-time PCR, Northern blotting, Oligonucleotide probes and RNA oligonucleotides, and dual luciferase assay.
PMID: 19019961
Detailed Description: We further show that, similar to miR-I, miR-II is able to efficiently silence the expression of ICP34.5, a key viral neurovirulence factor, and that miR-III is able to silence the expression of ICP0, a key viral transactivator. All these data suggest that LAT sequences likely contribute to HSV latency and reactivation through tight control of these LAT-encoded miRNAs and their viral targets.

It needs some time to initialize of Cytoscape web tool, please wait a while. The Cytoscape web tool also needs the Flash Player installed and supported.

The 'First Node' or 'Second Node' option represents the sub-network of interacting ncRNA/Interactor with the first or second interaction node, the 'Both the Nodes' option represents the sub-network of interacting ncRNA/Interactor with both of interaction nodes.
The 'First Neighbour' represents the sub-network of direct interacting with the center node, the 'Second Neighbour' represents the sub-network of direct or second step interacting with the center node. Interaction sub-network based on the two nodes of this interaction may help the researchers represents all interacting partners immediately.
