Description Using luciferase reporter assays and by performing PAR-CLIP analysis of LCLs latently infected with EBV or rLCV, we show here that five EBV BART miRNAs (miR-BART3, miR-BART5, miR-BART16, miRBART17, and miR-BART20) and at least four rLCV BART miRNA homologs (miR-rL1-5, miR-rL1-8, miR-rL1-16, and miR-rL1-23) target LMP1 3'UTRs.
