Description
However, western blot analysis revealed that the protein level of CD59 was markedly reduced by 100 nM let-7i treatment relative to let-7i Ctrl ( Figure 4C ), whereas transient transfection with 100 nM anti-let-7i was sufficient to increase the protein expression of CD59 relative to anti-let-7i Ctrl in HBx-negative cells ( Figure 4C ). Thus, we conclude that let-7i is able to down-regulate the expression of CD59 at the post-transcriptional level.

Description
HBx up-regulates CD59 by let-7i at the post-transcriptional level, contributing to escape of HCC cells from complement-dependent cytotoxicity.
