About the ViRBase:
Accumulating evidence confirms that non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) play critical roles during almost every process of viral infection. ViRBase aims to construct such complex interactions between the viral and cellular ncRNAs with their viral and cellular targets, and provide the detail RNA annotation. It will be contributed to understand viral infection and develop new antiviral therapies.
ViRBase v3.0:
It documents more than 820,000 virus-host ncRNA-associated interaction entries with experimental and predicted evidence, involving more than 50,000 RNAs between 116 virus and 36 host organism, mainly including Flaviviridea, Polyomaviridae, Herpesviridae, Retroviridae and Coronaviridae etc.
