Subcellular localization has gradually been a key feature for a deeper understanding of RNA's biological function after being transported into different cellular or extracellular regions. Increasing evidence also revealed that RNAs located in different subcellular organelles owned diverse functions in the biological process. RNALocate (http://www.rna-society.org/rnalocate) aims to provide a resource for efficient manipulation, browsing and analysis of RNA subcellular localization. The current version of RNALocate documents more than 42,000 manually curated RNA-associated subcellular localization entries with experimental evidence, involving more than 23,100 RNAs with 42 subcellular localizations in 65 species, mainly including Homo sapiens, Mus musculus, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae etc. RNALocate provides a conveniently user-friendly interface to query, browse and visualize detailed information about these RNA subcellular localizations. RNALocate will be of help in elucidating the entirety of RNA-associated subcellular localization, and developing new prediction methods.
