| Detail Description: | MALAT1 supports proliferation and invasion of cervical cancer cells and knockdown of MALAT1 in CaSki cells led to an upregulation of caspase-8 and -3 and Bax and the downregulation of Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL.Thus, both studies find a plethora of potential MALAT1 functions linked to proliferation, apoptosis, migration or gene regulation and future studies will have to unravel the specificity of these effects. |
