Accumulated evidences suggest the diverse non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) involved in a wide variety of diseases development and progression. It is a key challenge for understanding the precise behavior of diverse ncRNAs in mammalian diseases as a whole and deciphering the cross-regulations among disease-associated ncRNAs. Hence, we have developed a comprehensive mammalian ncRNA-disease database (MNDR, MNDR intends to provide the scientific community with a comprehensive tool for efficient browsing and extraction of the relationships between diverse ncRNAs and diseases in three mammalians. This version of MNDR documents over 1100 relationships between a variety of ncRNAs, such as long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), microRNA (miRNA), PIWI-interacting RNA (piRNA) and small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA), and diseases by reviewing more than 370 published papers. Based on global analyzing the disease-associated ncRNAs network, we have observed diverse ncRNAs could communicate with each other via either mutual regulations or binding to common intermediate genes, suggesting the complexity, conservative and plasticity of the regulatory relationships between diverse ncRNAs in disease conditions.
